A leaf texture obsession evolved into photogrammetry
In my downtime, I like to experiment with photogrammetry, with an emphasis on capturing the detail of leaves found on walks. It is a bit of a life long obsession turned into a passion project. Currently I have captured around 200 leaves, front and back. They have all been processed into texture passes for recreation in CG using substance designer.
Below I’ll show the development of my setup, my earliest tests, and a few examples of the textures created. More computer generated renders in development and to be updated at a later date.
